Cage Baseball Rules and Game Specs (HitTrax)

  • Games are 30 minutes long (drop dead) or 6 innings depending on which comes first

  • Games are scheduled all weekend and Friday eves 5-8pm PDT (times vary per time zones)

  •  Pitching machines should be a minimum of 48 feet and set at a MPH commensurate with age level. (See chart below)

  • Teams consist of 5 players, must hit 4 batters minimally. Substitute players in the “Taxi Pool” are permitted to round out rosters.

  • You can use any bat you like, wood, comp or alloy

  • No one can touch the simulators except the league commissioner or game ump who will be supervising each game

  • No food or alcoholic beverages are permitted in the designated batting zones

  • Aggressive behavior or unruly language will not be tolerated, warnings will be given, but the league commissioner has the right to suspend or kick a player out without refund compensation (we don’t expect any of this but have to reserve the right nonetheless)

  • Stat disputes based on technical glitches will be taken up with the commissioner

  • HitTrax glitches (hits not recorded) will result in do-overs

  • Games will be determined by Win, loss, ties are registered as ties unless it’s the playoffs whereby each player gets one AB and the player who hits it furthest wins it for his team.

  • Games can only be delayed by mutual agreement by 5 minutes in case of weather or unseen foreseen circumstances. Games can be played with as little as 3 players only in an emergency

  • Stats should be emailed to each player after each game

  • Strikeouts on swing and misses or unoffered at 3rd strike as determined by Hittrax (some machines are accidentally set up to count 3 fouls as an out, so please check your units)
