Seattle Bandits nip Yeti’s 2-1 (Boxscore is askew)

Seattle struck first behind Anthony Bitegeko and Christian Collins, who each scored a run. Bitegeko went 2-for-5 out of the three spot, while Collins delivered the most impactful bat of the day for the Bandits, going 2-for-5 with two doubles, accounting for both of Seattle’s extra-base hits. Greg Barnett added an RBI single, but the Bandits were otherwise kept in check, managing just five total hits.

The Yetis countered with consistent contact at the top of the order. Mario Rodriguez led the way with a standout 3-for-5 performance and a run scored, while Perry Knodle matched him with three hits, including a double. Brian Oberg drove in both Yetis runs despite going 1-for-4, drawing a key walk and providing timely contact. Scott Englehart crossed the plate once, helping keep the game even.

Naturals 2 Rivercats 0

The Naturals used steady contact and timely hitting to secure a 2–0 victory over the Rivercats, controlling the game offensively while limiting Rivercats opportunities.

The Naturals’ lineup produced consistent pressure from the start. Mike Lietner led the way with a standout performance, going 3-for-4 and scoring one of the game’s two runs. John Brandhagen followed with a strong showing of his own, finishing 2-for-4 with a double and crossing the plate once. The decisive blows came from Peter Strnad, who went 2-for-4 and drove in both Naturals runs, delivering the key situational hitting of the game. Darrin Smith also contributed with two hits at the top of the order, helping keep innings alive.

The Rivercats struggled to generate momentum offensively. Scott McHugh and Andy Tweed each collected a hit, but the lineup was unable to string together sustained rallies or produce extra-base damage. The Rainsox edged the Expos 3–2 in a competitive matchup marked by timely hits and balanced contributions across both lineups.

The Expos put together consistent contact throughout the game, collecting eight hits overall. Robert Fusco set the tone at the top of the order with a 2-for-5 performance, while Adrian Finol also went 2-for-4 and scored a run. The Expos’ scoring came through situational hitting, as John Morello II delivered an RBI double and Scott Palonaki added an RBI of his own to bring home the team’s two runs. Despite multiple chances, the Expos were unable to add on late.

The Rainsox answered with steady production and clutch extra-base hits. Michio Koide and Jeff Lazcano each crossed the plate, while Curtis Lassman added the deciding run. Toraj Nowkkasteh supplied a key RBI with an extra-base hit, and John Schiefer proved pivotal in the middle of the order, driving in two runs on a double and a triple. The Brew Crew edged the Surf Dawgs 2–1 in a tightly played contest where timely hits made the difference including Josh Schiefer’s walkoff double!

The Surf Dawgs scratched across their lone run behind Gregory James, who scored after reaching base, and Peter Strnad, who delivered the team’s key extra-base hit with a triple and drove in the only run. Strnad and James each finished with a hit, but the Surf Dawgs offense was otherwise quiet, managing just four hits on the day and struggling to build sustained rallies.

The Brew Crew answered with balanced production throughout the lineup. Jordan Cagampang went 2-for-4 and scored one of the team’s two runs, while Ryan Cramer added the other run and supplied extra-base pop with a double and a triple. Ryan Mickelson also chipped in with an RBI extra-base hit, and Robert Carle reached base twice and drove in a run to help push the Brew Crew ahead.

The Brew Crew’s ability to capitalize on their opportunities and get key hits with runners on base proved decisive, sealing a narrow 2–1 victory over the Surf Dawgs.

Bandits 6 Yets 2

The Seattle Bandits delivered a strong all-around offensive performance to defeat the Yakyu Yetis 6–2, using consistent contact and timely production throughout the lineup.

Seattle set the tone early at the top and middle of the order. Greg Barnett went 3-for-5, scoring two runs and driving in two, while Anthony Bitegeko was a constant presence on the bases, finishing 4-for-6 with two doubles, two runs scored, and an RBI. Christian Collins added to the surge with a 3-for-5 effort that included a double and a game-high three RBIs, helping Seattle build and maintain separation. Scott Yeung chipped in with two hits from the leadoff spot, keeping pressure on the defense.

The Yetis answered with solid individual performances but struggled to string together rallies. Brian Oberg led the way offensively, going 3-for-6 with two doubles and scoring a run, while Perry Knodle added a double and crossed the plate once. Naturals 2 Rivercats 1

The Naturals nipped the Rivercats on John Brandhagen’s extra inning distnace shot - close battle ends in the 7th!

The Naturals consistently put the ball in play throughout the game, led by Darrin Smith and John Brandhagen, who each collected three hits in seven at-bats. Brandhagen also accounted for the Naturals’ lone RBI, delivering the key hit that brought home Harley Howe, who scored the team’s only run. Mike Lietner added two hits from the two spot, helping the Naturals generate traffic, though additional runs proved hard to come by.

The Rivercats answered with strong production near the top of their lineup. Nick Culotti went 3-for-6 and scored the Rivercats’ only run, while Charles Schutii drove him in with an RBI and finished with two hits of his own. Scott McHugh also contributed a pair of hits, but the Rivercats were unable to capitalize further despite several opportunities.

That swing came from Toraj Nowkkasteh, who crushed a two-run home run out of the two spot, accounting for all of the Rainsox scoring. Nowkkasteh finished 1-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs, delivering the game’s decisive moment. Michio Koide helped set the table at the top of the order, reaching base and scoring one of the two runs, while Curtis Lassman added a hit to keep pressure on the Expos’ defense.

The Expos managed to put together several hits but couldn’t convert them into runs. Randy Cole led the way with a 2-for-4 performance, and Adrian Finol, John Morello II, and Scott Palonaki each recorded a hit, but rallies were cut short before any damage could be done.

In the end, Nowkkasteh’s home run stood as the lone scoring highlight, lifting the Rainsox to a clean 2–0 win over the Expos.

The Brew Crew pulled out a narrow 1–0 victory over the Surf Dawgs in a tightly contested matchup defined by limited scoring chances and one timely offensive push.

The decisive moment came from the bottom of the Brew Crew lineup, where Ryan Mickelson delivered a standout performance. Mickelson went 2-for-3, providing all of the game’s extra-base damage with a double and a triple, and crossed the plate for the only run of the game. Dylan Adams-Martin added support in the middle of the order with a 2-for-4 day, helping keep pressure on the Surf Dawgs’ defense, while Robert Carle chipped in with a hit and an RBI opportunity.

The Surf Dawgs consistently put the ball in play but couldn’t break through. Joe Sindell led the way offensively with a strong 3-for-5 performance, and Joshua Stockton added an extra-base hit of his own. Despite multiple base runners, the Surf Dawgs were unable to convert opportunities into runs, finishing the game scoreless.

With runs at a premium throughout, Mickelson’s extra-base surge proved to be the difference, lifting the Brew Crew to a hard-earned 1–0 win.
